Hogwarts Legacy sequel in the works… and it’s a “big priority” for the devs

It’s official! A sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is in development and it’s a “big priority.” What are you hoping they’ll add or change in the next game?

Will they finally give us more than 3 enemy types?

Ha! You’ll just be fighting giant spiders again… and more spiders…

And maybe a different area type? The whole map looked the same after a while.

They’d have to add new regions, though. Scotland can’t just randomly have a desert or jungle!

@Hutton
Maybe they could add areas like Diagon Alley or even the Ministry of Magic to make it feel more diverse!

I’d prefer if they just focused on Hogwarts. The school was the best part!

@Teagan
Totally agree. Hogwarts itself felt so alive, but everything outside of it was so bland.

@Teagan
Exactly! The classes, the common rooms, exploring the castle… they should focus on making Hogwarts even better.

Here’s what they need to fix:

  • Random loot… gets boring
  • Make Hogwarts feel more alive
  • Make dark magic have consequences
  • More teamwork in the story
  • Better storyline overall

And add Quidditch too!

@Lennon
Exactly! Even quick little mini-games for classes would be so fun.

They should look to games like Bully for inspiration. Those mini-games were fantastic.

I loved Bully! Still bummed there was never a sequel.

You’re basically describing the old Philosopher’s Stone game on PS1. That had Quidditch and mini-games for every class!

How cool would it be to play wizard chess in the common rooms?

Yes! Especially if it was multiplayer. People would love that.

@Jordan
Totally! Imagine logging on just to play wizard chess and see your character react to winning or losing. I’d boot up the game for that alone.

The wizard chess idea is awesome. They could add a few other classic mini-games like that!

@Lennon
The problem with Quidditch is the rules don’t really work well in a competitive game format.
