The problem with Quidditch is the rules don’t really work well in a competitive game format.
Which is why they made it work differently in the new Quidditch game. Catching the Snitch isn’t an instant win anymore.

Yeah, the new game kinda feels like flying Rocket League. But it’s fun!
@Lennon
Good comparison! Though, I’d rather just play Rocket League honestly.
@Lennon
I think Quidditch deserves its own game entirely.

It’s funny that people actually play Quidditch in real life! They’ve made the rules work somehow.
@Lennon
Quidditch would have been tough to get right with the controls. And the way the game handled things, I don’t think it would’ve been that fun.
@Lennon
They probably wanted to sell Quidditch as a separate game anyway to make more money.

Here’s what they need to fix:
Random loot… gets boring
Make Hogwarts feel more alive
Make dark magic have consequences
More teamwork in the story
Better storyline overall
Big, empty world with nothing much happening
Side quests were too repetitive
Monetizing Quidditch as a separate game felt like a cash grab
Not enough Hogwarts life! I wanted to feel like an actual student, going to classes and all
@Paden
I wanted it to feel more like Bully but in Hogwarts.

So many of us did. Focusing on student life would’ve been way more engaging.

Either that or make it a full RPG. They sold it as having lots of customization, but it turned out to be very basic.

I’ve been waiting for this kind of game for years! Just hand it to Rockstar, let them make it happen.
@Paden
Some exec probably thought players wanted to feel like a super-powerful hero with no consequences, when most of us wanted to experience actual school life at Hogwarts.
It was weird that your mentor didn’t care at all if you used dark curses on people.

Yeah, I mean, we’re supposed to be kids but we’re out there straight-up killing people.

I thought there would be consequences, so I avoided using the killing curse in front of others. Turns out there are zero consequences.
Is it weird that I was bummed about the lack of actual school activities? I wanted a schedule, like in Persona games, where days go by and you do class stuff!

Bully had the perfect setup for this: classes with mini-games and skills to unlock. And you’d get chased if you were skipping! That would work so well here.
@Aspen
Yes! That’s exactly what I was hoping for. Just put magic classes in there, and it’d be perfect.
@Aspen
Now I want Bully at Hogwarts.
