This is the problem with Lego and complex curves. It rarely looks good unless they create custom pieces.

Totally agree. Some designs just don’t translate well.

It has this kind of messy charm to it, though.

I think they mean they made a full Shadow figure to match the head from the set.

Maybe they just used extra parts from reducing the head’s size? Not totally sure, but it looks awesome.

I don’t think they changed the head. The cheeks and ears look exactly like the box art.

So many of these character sets look awful. The Marvel ones are the worst, like the Infinity Gauntlet.
