If you’re into horde shooters, maybe try Helldivers or Warframe. Both are fun, and Helldivers is great for chaotic team play.
Check out Memoirs of Magic. It’s free and has temples, cliffs, deserts, and lots of strange creatures.
It’s not exactly the same, but Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is a blast. You fight in arenas using swords and bows against robot enemies.
Duke Nukem Forever 
Vampire Survivors might not be what you’re expecting, but it’s got some of the same chaotic energy.
Doom Eternal for sure.
Try Doom, Quake, or Postal 2. If you want something with RPG elements, maybe System Shock or Hard Reboot.
Borderlands might work for you. Serious Sam is faster, but Borderlands 2 is especially fun.

I agree. Borderlands has more going on, but the core gameplay has a similar feel.
What boomer shooters have you tried? I’d suggest Return to Castle Wolfenstein or Unreal Tournament 2004. Both are great, even against bots.

UT2004 is honestly better with bots. At least they don’t snipe you the second you pop your head out on certain maps.

Fun fact: UT2004 bots rely heavily on how the maps are designed. If the map creator didn’t add things like paths or bot support for obstacles, the bots can’t navigate properly. That’s why some maps are awesome with bots, and others leave them standing around.
