I’ve beaten Ocarina of Time at least 10 times now. Can’t get enough!
I remember when it first released. It was the first time I bought a strategy guide. One of the best games of all time.

Even with the guide, 8-year-old me gave up at the Water Temple. Still my least favorite dungeon to this day.
@Tariq
Yeah, I needed that Biggoron Sword to survive!
Probably Link’s Awakening, I think.

I called Nintendo’s help hotline multiple times when I got stuck. Good times!

Did anyone here play Quest 64? Came out just before OOT. Sure, OOT is the GOAT, but Quest 64 had its own charm. The story may seem silly now, but it brought in that classic Dragon Quest vibe.
Link’s Awakening! The Ballad of the Wind Fish still gives me chills. Those little Game Boy speakers somehow made it feel so emotional.

Right? Did you play the remake?
Shining Force 2 on the Sega Genesis. Loved the music, and the strategy fighting was so fun. I’ve replayed it a bunch on Xbox and Steam since.
Would the original Zelda count as a story game?
Final Fantasy X was my first RPG, and it hooked me on the genre. Now I’m a huge FF fan and spend way too much on FF merch.

What did you think of XV? I’m playing XII right now.
@Kim
Funny enough, I used to speedrun XV. I think it’s okay story-wise, but only if you manage to piece it all together from the movie, the DLC, and some random loading screens. Gameplay-wise, it’s actually deeper than people think if you learn the advanced moves. But yeah, Elixirs make it a bit too easy since they fully heal you. Still, I look back on it fondly. Could’ve been amazing with a few more years of development.
@Jesse
XV is awesome. The hidden dungeon alone makes the whole game worth it. Also loved the friendships and those tough moments they went through.
@Kim
I enjoyed XV, especially since it reminded me of XIV. But I’m really looking forward to Rebirth!
Same here. Played OOT and Majora’s Mask back-to-back. Such great memories.

Honestly, OOT feels like a warm-up for Majora’s Mask.
Wow, now that I think about it, I can’t remember the first game I actually beat.

What’s the last game you finished then?
