Resident Evil: Director’s Cut on PS5! Played both Chris and Jill’s routes for the PS 30th anniversary. Such a classic.
Shotgun Roulette is still a blast, and the new multiplayer mode is a great addition.
Combat Complex is such a tight twin-stick shooter.
It mixes chaotic swarm shooting with strategy like:
- Enemies can hit each other, so you can use that to your advantage.
- Frenzy orbs make you decide if it’s worth the risk to grab them.
- Gun switching keeps the action fresh since overheating replaces reloading.
I love twin-stick shooters, and this feels like it was made just for me. It’s still in early access, but it’s already fantastic.
Holo X Break is a hidden gem I’m really happy I found.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions on Android. It’s keeping me sane while I’m stuck with only my phone to game on.
Dragon’s Dogma 2
Dead Rising Remake
Drova
Most other games didn’t hold my interest this year.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. I’ve put in over 250 hours and still love it.
Rocket League is my go-to for short gaming sessions. It’s my comfort game.
Not sure if thankful is the right word since I bought them, but the Factorio DLC and Satisfactory 1.0 have been great. Cyberpunk 2077 too, even though it’s been out a while.
