I’d say Tales of Vesperia. Repede is an awesome dog who carries around a pipe for no reason. He’s so cool!

The Monster Hunter games have palicoes and palamutes. They’re both adorable and super helpful in fights.

Skyrim has some good dog companions. You can find huskies at Fort Dawnguard and others like Meeko or Vigilance scattered around.

Epic Battle Fantasy features NoLegs, a cat with no legs. He somehow fights and wields weapons. The 5th game even lets you play as him! The 4th game explains how he lost his legs, too.

Dogmeat from the Fallout games is a classic. In Fallout 3, he’s a powerhouse. He can survive almost anything and will face danger without hesitation.

Genshin Impact has some neat animal-like characters, but no direct companions sadly.

Far Cry Primal has great animal companions. You can tame them and use them in combat.
