Nothing ruins a great play faster than an unexpected wall—especially from your own teammate. What are your most memorable (or frustrating) wall plays in MOBAs and hero shooters?
I seriously miss pre-rework Tassadar in Heroes of the Storm. Those force walls were borderline broken, especially with the level 20 talent.

Vanilla Tass kicked ass. Man, early HotS was so good.

HotS had so much potential. Blizzard spent too much time forcing eSports instead of letting the game grow. If they had focused on their amazing custom game community (like Warcraft 3 did), they’d still be at the top of the MOBA scene.

HotS is getting a small comeback—regular updates and changing brawls are back. I’m huffing my hopium that it gets some traction again.

Everyone I know who played HotS says it was their favorite MOBA, but they don’t want to play anymore because Blizzard abandoned it. If they started adding new content again, I think it would bounce back hard.

Tass still has Force Wall and can extend its range with his level 20 talent. Am I missing something?

Yeah, he still has it, but the old version was better—you could spam walls every few seconds, covering half the map. It tilted so many people.

Technically both. Tassadar in HotS has Force Wall, but in Starcraft 2, Sentries create force fields.

Technically, there are tons of different wall types in games:
- Leoric (HotS) makes a tombstone wall.
- Clockwerk (DotA) has cogs (a machinery wall).
- Disruptor (DotA) has a magic barrier wall.
- Taliyah (LoL) has a stone wall.
- Azir (LoL) makes a wall of sand soldiers.
- Yorick (LoL) has a ring of spirits.
- Yasuo (LoL) has a wind wall—arguably the most infamous of them all.
- Mei (Overwatch) and Sage (Valorant) have ice walls.
