Thank you David Lynch for inspiring stories across everything… Here are my favorite works inspired by him

David Lynch’s influence is everywhere—movies, games, even music. His creativity changed how people tell stories. I wanted to share some of the works I love that were clearly inspired by him. Let’s celebrate his genius and talk about the incredible works he influenced!

David Lynch was one of a kind. He made super creative work without letting money or Hollywood ruin it. Twin Peaks: The Return might be his best yet. In a world full of cookie-cutter movies and shows, he stood out.

@Maxwell
Where do you recommend starting with his work? I don’t think I’ve seen anything by him yet.

Start with Blue Velvet. It’s a good intro to his style and sets the tone for Twin Peaks. If you like it, you’ll enjoy the rest of his stuff.

@Maxwell
Just watched Blue Velvet. It was amazing!

Twin Peaks is a good starting point too. It’s weird, but comforting at the same time. Perfect vibe.

@Toby
Thanks! I’ve been meaning to start Twin Peaks forever. I just finished Alan Wake and now I’m ready for it.

Watch the Twin Peaks pilot and the next two episodes. By then, you’ll know if it’s for you. If you’re hooked, you’re in for a ride!

He was a true artist. I hope his influence inspires future creators to keep pushing boundaries.

I almost never rewatch stuff, but hearing about him again got me rewatching Twin Peaks. Just got to The Return. Somehow it’s even better the second time.

Season 1 and The Return are so good. Absolute peaks of the series.

The Return is way better on a second watch. You can relax and just enjoy it without overthinking.

4K Twin Peaks comes out soon. I preordered it last month. Can’t wait to dive back in!

Rewatching always brings out little details you missed the first time.

I just finished Control. Highly recommend if you haven’t played it yet.

Control is incredible. Loved the Alan Wake tie-ins too!

It’s such a great game. Super unique atmosphere.

More people should try Deadly Premonition. The jank is worth it.

It’s so obviously inspired by Twin Peaks. It’s basically a love letter.

If you’re not into playing it, watch a supercut on YouTube. It’s still a magical experience.
