Shoutout to the most fun MoBA… Heroes of the Storm

I stick to ARAM mode most of the time. Other MoBAs can get way too serious and toxic, so it’s refreshing to play something more laid back. It’s not uncommon to see the whole team saying ‘gg’ after a match, and even after a loss, people are pretty chill. ARAM queues are short, so I’m guessing it might even be more popular than the normal matches.

The mode gives you three hero choices, which adds a lot of strategy to creating team compositions. Sometimes you even get matches where everyone plays the same hero, which makes for some hilarious and memorable games.

If you’re tired of toxic, snowball-heavy MoBAs where you have no chance to recover, you should give HoTS a shot. It’s also great for beginners who are new to the genre. Just don’t expect a super competitive experience.

HoTS is awesome. They’ve been releasing balance patches again recently, and I’m holding out hope for new heroes someday.

I’ve run into some toxic players here and there, but it’s nowhere near the level of LoL. The lack of individual snowballing really cuts down on that elitist attitude you see in other MoBAs.

It’d be amazing if Blizzard pulled a Terraria and started updating it again. Not holding my breath, but one can dream.

Now that Microsoft owns Blizzard, they’ve got a built-in MoBA. They should integrate their IPs into it—imagine Master Chief or Banjo Kazooie in HoTS.

@Keenan
Calling it ‘Heroes of the Soft’ just doesn’t have the same ring.

@Keenan
They should just drop HoTS 2.0 with characters like Steve from Minecraft, Dragonborn, Clippy, and even Jack Black’s Brutal Legend character.

@Leo
Blizzard pretty much gave up on HoTS years ago. Hogger was the last hero, and they shut down the esports scene out of nowhere. Balance patches are all we’re getting now.

Now that Blizzard is under Microsoft, who knows? Things might change.

@Justice
Microsoft hasn’t exactly turned their other acquisitions into gold. I wouldn’t expect much.

People say they’ve ‘pulled the plug,’ but the game is still very much alive. Balance patches drop every now and then, and ARAM queues take less than 10 seconds.

Even at 3 a.m., ARAM queues only take 10 seconds. It’s wild!

I’ll be rambling about Abathur in my old age. The most unique hero I’ve ever played.

Abathur is so fun, even when you’re getting sniped by Tyrande owls from across the map. Can’t even be mad.

It’s sad Blizzard stopped supporting HoTS. It’s the perfect MoBA for people who want to have fun without sweating over every match. I might try convincing my friends to play again.

I played during the glory days when new heroes came out every few months. It was amazing until they put the game into maintenance mode.

I still play with my friends, but the player base is so small now that I’m starting to recognize people in my matches.

HoTS is the best MoBA. No debate.

I’ve played since the beta, and it’s the least toxic MoBA I’ve ever touched. Even without updates, it’s still a great time.
