I started tearing up like three seconds in. No other game has ever made me feel this hyped for an announcement.

What kind of game is Okami? I checked the Steam page but I’m still confused. Is it like turn-based combat?

It’s more like Zelda but with Japanese mythology. You play as the sun goddess Amaterasu, who’s a wolf, and you use a brush to paint god-powers into the world.

Most of the old Clover team went on to make Platinum Games, and it’s been 18 years since Okami came out, so I’d imagine many of them are retired by now.

Bayonetta 3 had that Okami-like art touch, but I’ve seen too many bad reboots to trust this fully. Excuse my cynicism.

Totally fair. I’m cautiously optimistic, but we haven’t really seen anything concrete yet.
