Looking for a relaxing city builder, nothing too complex!

Big fan of city builders and factory games here! Here’s a few you might enjoy:

  • Dawn of Man: Takes you from the stone age to the bronze age, with hunting, taming animals, and evolving settlements.

  • Evil Genius 2: Not a city builder, but it has a fun base management vibe.

  • Jurassic Park 1 & 2: Less of a city, more of a park, but managing dinos is fun!

  • Kingdoms Reborn: A hidden gem with active devs. Great to play with a friend!

Hope that helps, and have fun with whatever you pick!

Banished is a classic. Give it a try if you’re up for it. For cute, stress-free vibes, maybe look into Factory Town too.

Thanks! Would you say Banished is easy to pick up?

@Tan
Depends on your experience, but I’d say it’s easy to learn and a bit harder to master. It’s more of a sandbox, so you can take it at your own pace.

@Tan
I wouldn’t recommend Banished, honestly. It lacks replay value, and the gameplay can feel shallow after a while.

Kingdoms and Castles was fun but didn’t last long for me. It’s pretty short, not really open-ended like other city builders. Still enjoyed it though!

Really? I saw some people with hundreds of hours on Steam…maybe they just really love it?

@Tan
Not that short! I don’t think it even has missions, so maybe they’re mixing it up with another game. It’s simple but relaxing.

@Tan
They could’ve added more content since I last played, which was a few years back.

Just play Minecraft.

Haha, I spent my whole childhood on Minecraft! Got thousands of hours but can’t seem to get back into it.
