Just started Witcher 3… am I ready for the adventure?

Finally decided to give Witcher 3 a try. I can see why people call it one of the best games ever.

Ah, I see you’ve discovered Roach’s unique talent for appearing in places no horse should be.

Roach doesn’t play by the rules of physics, clearly.

Here’s a classic: https://youtu.be/KoL1NRh8JOI?si=p6ukBoAOTzd4qJhj

This video always cracks me up.

@Max
Thanks for that laugh—I needed it today!

Pro tip: early in the game, you can farm money by killing cows in a pen, resting a few hours, and repeating. Then, sell their hides for quick cash. Totally no surprises if you try it. :wink:

Grinding in a game to grind in real life. Classic.

Totally a foolproof way to make money. Nothing unusual happens, trust me.

@Kai
Haha, if you know, you know!

I’ve played Witcher 3 on multiple platforms over the years—PC, PS4, Switch—and through all of life’s ups and downs, Roach has remained consistently hilarious. Still spawns on fences and rooftops like a true pro.

@Cameron
It’s not a glitch, it’s a feature. :horse:

@Cameron
Same. Played it at different stages of my life, and it’s like the game grows with you.

Just a warning, you’re about to lose 100+ hours of your life. Enjoy!

Your initiation into Witcher 3 is officially complete. Welcome aboard!

This is one of those games that just keeps getting better. You’re in for a ride!

Thanks! I don’t get much time to game these days, but I’m planning to chip away at my backlog this year. Witcher 3 is at the top of the list.

@Lex
If you want to save time, ignore the ocean question marks in Skellige. They’re mostly just treasure chests and not worth the grind.

The first 10 hours can feel slow, but stick with it. By the end, it’ll feel like a 10/10 experience. Don’t skip the side quests—they add so much to the story and world.

Pro tip: do the side quests. They’re some of the best parts of the game and help you level up for the tougher main quests.

Important thing to know about Roach: she will never spawn in a convenient spot. Be ready to laugh and sigh in equal measure.
