@Dakota
Yep, I downloaded Storyteller through Netflix and it’s the full game.
@Dakota
Yeah, full download. Also played Bloons TD6 through it—entire game, no connection needed after the first login.
@Dakota
You’re not streaming the games. It’s just like ‘buying’ them for free through your Netflix subscription.
@Francis
Wait, how do I even play these? Through the Netflix app on my phone?
I always assumed it was just a bunch of cheap mobile games, but maybe they’ve got something decent?

There’s a ‘Games’ section in the Netflix app. Click a game, and it’ll send you to the App Store or Play Store to download it. Once installed, you just log in with your Netflix account.
@Francis
Huh. Way cooler than I expected. Thanks!
@Francis
I was searching for them in the App Store manually. This is much easier.

You can also just search for ‘Netflix Games’ in the App Store and they’ll show up.

I noticed recently that Netflix has some games playable directly in a web browser at Netflix.com.
@Francis
I downloaded Football Manager 24 through Netflix. Ended up getting the full desktop version and now I’m back into football after ignoring it for 10+ years. Lmao.
@Francis
I don’t let my kids play games with ads, so they only use Netflix games or ones I’ve bought that are ad-free.
Not all of these are ‘Netflix Games.’ They’re just regular games that Netflix gives you access to as part of your subscription.
I played Dead Cells and Bloons TD6 for ‘free’ this way.

Bloons TD6 is usually like $5, and I’ve seen it for $1 during Steam sales. Been playing since Bloons TD3. Solid game.
@Zenith
It’s actually free right now on the Epic Games Store mobile app.
@Zenith
Bloons TD6 is great. I’ve got 100% achievements on Steam. They’re working on a survival-style game now too.

Wait, what? That’s awesome.
Netflix gaming feels like one of those ‘because we can’ things rather than something anyone really asked for. Has anyone actually played a game on it? Is there anything that makes it worth trying?

I played Oxenfree through their cloud streaming. Worked surprisingly well. If you like story-driven indie games, it’s worth checking out.

They have legit games like Civ VI and GTA: San Andreas.
