Found this today… anyone remember it?

I found this today and thought I’d share… It brings back some memories. I bet some of you have played it. What are your thoughts on this game?

THE GOAT

I’ve never finished this one. I’d totally buy it from you if you lived nearby and shipping wasn’t an issue.

You can buy it on GoG if you’re interested.

I hope Larian decides to make a Neverwinter Nights 3 after BG3… anyone else hoping for that?

They’ve said they won’t be working with D&D IP again.

Yeah, they’re done working with Wizards.

This is the version of NWN I have too. Got it after seeing it on TechTv. Good times.

This game was my intro to MMORPGs. I spent countless hours on a persistent world RP server between the SoU and HotU expansions.

Same here, the persistent world servers I played on were way more fun than the main campaign. It was like a mini MMO with a tight-knit community of players and DMs.

Had this game at one point… No clue where it went. Great game, though.

Longest intro ever… I remember finally getting out of the city and realizing the game was just starting, haha.

There are some amazing fan-made campaigns too. Played the heck out of it in uni with 3 friends and had a blast!

And the sequel, AlwaysSummer Days.

I still hear Aribeth saying “Waterdhavian creatures” in my mind. Miss adventuring with Linu and Sharwyn too. Back then, I didn’t understand stats or what they did… I just went with my gut and ended up with a meta exotic weapon Weapon’s Master build.

Not to be confused with the early 90s AOL game with the same name.

Or the supposed sequel or the MMO version.

My old PC couldn’t even run this game. Never got to play it.

Mine couldn’t either, it just wouldn’t load… Then I accidentally knocked over my PC tower and, on a whim, tried to start the game again. It ran perfectly after that!

I really wanted to enjoy this game since the Baldur’s Gate series is my favorite, but the switch from pre-rendered environments to 3D just didn’t do it for me. It felt too fake, like everything was just placed there with a tool.

I have the map framed on the wall at work.
