Sometimes, it’s just not your day, even with the music blasting. What do you do to get back into the groove?
Do you think he’d still be around if he found his rhythm?
Honestly, it seemed like he was feeling it at first.

Nah, he was clearly just trying to survive the vibe. Poor guy.
What game is this from?

It’s Stalker 2. I can’t stand those kinds of games, though.

Thanks. I was considering it, but my 1060 would probably hate me.
@Val
Oh, you’ll definitely have a rough time. Even with a 4090 at 1080p, I’m not getting a steady 60 fps.

It’s true the game’s optimization is terrible, but either your CPU is holding you back or you’re exaggerating. I have a 3080ti and get 60+ fps on high settings with DLSS.
@Jesse
No exaggeration. Literal 1080p and my 4090 isn’t cutting it.

You’re bottlenecked by your CPU at 1080p. A 4090 needs a higher resolution to show its power. Honestly, you might as well have stuck with a 4070 unless you’re using it for other things.
@Niko
It’s mainly for AI image generation, which is part of my job. Plus, the PC was paid for by work, so no complaints here!

Well, in that case, enjoy! But yeah, that 1080p monitor still feels so out of place.

If your CPU is an issue, maybe upgrade your RAM or optimize the settings. Running a 4090 on 1080p is really unusual unless you’re aiming for insane frame rates in esports games.
@Jesse
It’s paired with an i9 13900, so I thought I’d be fine.

That CPU should handle it, so maybe try tweaking your settings or look into mods for optimization. It’s strange that you’re having issues with that setup.
@Jesse
Would my i7 4770s, 8GB DDR3, and GTX 1060 have any chance at all? I love the original games, but the system requirements make my PC sweat.

You’d really struggle with that setup. You’d need to lower everything and maybe still deal with crashes.
@Jesse
Honestly, upgrading to a better display would help you make the most of that GPU. It’s wild to stick with 1080p with a card like that!
We need more funk in our lives.
