[Dragon Age: The Veilguard] The Qun didn’t equip us for this

The choice to make Qunari essentially just humans with large foreheads is one of the most puzzling decisions from BioWare, especially considering how well they captured their look in DA2.

I am not sure why, but the entire game has this strange glossy Hobbit movie filter over it.

Yes :innocent: Thank you for perfectly capturing what has been subconsciously bothering me about the new look of DA. It just appears too smooth, almost as if a poor buttery filter has been applied over it.

I feel so vindicated because I really dislike the character designs in these previews. I never thought I cared that much about graphics, after all, I have never expected Bioware to have the most visually stunning games, but I find these models particularly unappealing. I even named my child after a DA character, so I am usually inclined to be more forgiving in my critiques. My husband and best friend, however, don’t see what I see, which is a play-doh-like appearance.

Allow me to speculate.

You gave it the dog’s name, Barkspawn.

Don’t be ridiculous!

Her full name is Cassandra Allegra Portia Calogera Filomena.

And I was going to guess here. Coryphalus

I have a terrible migraine today, so my brain is not working well, I couldn’t come up with any silly DA names. That would have been perfect, haha. Maybe Flemeth? We call her Flem.

Jesus, this is like what Star Trek. Discovery did to the Klingons, but in reverse. DSC made the Klingons look like nigh unrecognizable aliens by adding unnecessarily whereas this…they’ve taken away everything that made the Qunari Qunari.
