Do you let game credits roll or skip them?

I always let the credits roll when I finish a game. I’m not staring at the screen the whole time, but it feels like the least I can do. No devs, no games, right? Curious if anyone else does this.

Depends on the game. If it’s a really emotional ending, I like to just sit there and soak it all in. But for something like Mario Kart? Yeah, no thanks.

Yep, I usually let them play out. A few reasons: sometimes there are bonus scenes, the credits music is often amazing, and occasionally you even get a trophy for watching them. Can’t risk missing something!

Yeah, it’s like post-Marvel syndrome. You never know if there’s something at the end!

The BG3 credits have a part where the team dedicates the game to loved ones who’ve passed. It’s so heartfelt and touching. I couldn’t help but read every note.

I start watching for the first few minutes, then I’ll speed it up. Sometimes I pause if I see something interesting, though. :man_shrugging:

Only if they’re engaging. The last time I really enjoyed watching credits was for Astro Bot. They made it so much fun!

Astro Bot getting hate for winning GOTY blows my mind. People just don’t get it—it’s pure joy, especially the way you play through the credits.

@Blaine
Exactly! That game was full of love and whimsy. You could feel how much effort the devs put into it. I’ll always cheer for Team Asobi.

Fable on Xbox made you watch the credits if you wanted to keep playing after beating the game. No choice there!

I usually skip and then check online to see if there are any post-credit scenes.

If it’s my first time seeing the credits, I’ll watch them. It’s cool to see all the people who worked on the game. If I’ve already seen them, though, I skip.

I always let them play at least once. AAA game credits can be super long, but it’s interesting to see how many people contributed to making the game.

Always. As someone who’s been credited in media projects, I respect the creators and their work.

I let the credits roll for Still Wakes the Deep. That ending hit me hard, and the song that played was incredible.

Yes, especially if I know any of the devs who worked on it.

RE4 has the best credits ever. So haunting and memorable.
