A lot of folks here don’t realize the Liberal Democrats aren’t an American party.

Commonwealth standard. Cultural issues don’t dominate like in the U.S.

In Australia, the ‘Liberal’ party is barely left of Mussolini. But that’s another story.

I don’t know much about them, but usually, ‘Labour’ parties lean left, not ‘Liberal Democrats.’
