Anyone else notice this weird glitch in the 'Until Dawn' remake? Character dies but still walks around with all her death effects…

@Bailey
Isn’t that just in the first chapter though? It goes back to the original blue tones after that, right?

Yeah, but it still messes with the vibe. It’s a small change, but it feels like a totally different game at times.

@Spencer
It’s literally 15 minutes of gameplay. People are making a huge deal out of it.

But what would the internet be without overblown outrage?!

@Bailey
I’m so over games pushing for photorealism. Where’s the creativity in art direction?

@Bailey
I think they also messed with the sound design, which just ruined the whole atmosphere for me.

@Bailey
I mean, some games do photorealism well. Red Dead Redemption 2 comes to mind.

@Bailey
Yeah, I saw they removed a lot of that iconic blue lighting from the original.

That’s only in the first chapter. You get there earlier now, so it makes sense the lighting would be different.

So, how’s the remake overall? I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews but haven’t played it yet.

It’s decent. New and remade scenes are cool, but the color changes throw me off. If you own the original, wait for a sale. If you haven’t played it before, maybe grab it on sale or just buy the original.

@Drew
Good idea, I’ll wishlist it and wait for a deal. Thanks!

It’s competently made, but the fixed camera angles and lighting changes make it feel like a different game. Honestly, stick with the original. You can find it cheap, and it’s still a great experience.

It’s wild they modify the existing model instead of just swapping it out for a different one.

Not really. It’s probably just a texture swap. Reloading an entire model just to change the look would be a waste of resources. This is pretty standard for modern games.

I played the original, and this remake just feels rough in comparison. Sure, the textures are higher res, but the animations and overall feel are worse.

Haha, this glitch is actually kinda cool.

The face you make after you eat way too much blueberry pie.

Honestly, it looks pretty awesome.

My controller in the original always failed the ‘Don’t Move’ parts, so I’ve seen this face more than a few times.

Maybe it’s a penalty for save scumming!
