Alright boys… ready to drop in with that flawless refresh rate?

Hooked up my setup and gave it a shot… not sure if it’s an upgrade or just pure chaos.

Imagine being stuck with 16,777,216 colors… tragic.

Imagine dealing with display lag.

If there’s an HDMI converter involved, there’s still gonna be latency.

@Zora
Are we talking HDMI to composite? Some HDMI to VGA converters have basically no lag—like less than 0.1 frames, completely unnoticeable.

Yeah, but I’d bet money the $5 Temu special being used here is NOT one of those.

If we had 16,777,217 colors, society would collapse.

Even worse—dude’s running 4:2:0 compression with crosstalk for extra ‘character.’

480p? Only for brightness—there’s barely 240p of actual color here.

Name all the colors.

Tasted like Pepsi from across the room.

That high-pitched peep noise… memories.

I can hear the CRT whine. Oh wait, that might just be my tinnitus.

I could hear that sound even outside, just walking past houses. Wild how noticeable it was. Also, shoutout to the Casio CMD-40 for messing with neighbors’ TVs.

@Shan
Man, I miss when smartphones had IR blasters. That was a golden era.

I can smell it.

Not gonna lie, it actually looks pretty good. The colors pop.

Only played one game on it, did pretty average—finished 12th with 5 kills. Definitely a different experience.

Saw a YouTube video of someone playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on a CRT… looked wild.
