Spent my 17-hour journey on the Amtrak Auto Train playing FIFA 24. Honestly, it made the trip fly by. Anyone else tried gaming setups like this on long trips?
And the tissues… a man of culture, I see.

Hey, FIFA can get emotional!

Why does everyone associate tissues with THAT? Tissues are essential for long trips. Runny nose? Check. Accidental spills? Check. Absolutely necessary!
@Fenn
Amtrak provided them, and they were a lifesaver since I had a runny nose.
@Fenn
Exactly. Some of us just have allergies or nasal issues. Tissues are a must-have.
Now all you need is a better game to play!

FIFA’s career mode is great offline. It’s the online gambling modes that ruin the game.

FIFA players are its biggest critics, lol.
Trains are the best way to travel. I’m planning a Europe train trip next year—can’t wait!

Trains in Europe? Amazing. Trains in the US? Slow, expensive, and not worth it unless you love the experience.
@Paxton
Exactly. If only it was cheaper, I’d take trains more often. But right now, it’s slower and pricier than flying.
How portable is that setup? I considered something similar but ended up going with a Steam Deck.

Fits perfectly in my backpack: Xbox, monitor, controller, and a few cables. Super portable!
@Storm
What monitor did you use?
How much did this trip cost? Did you bring your car along?

It was about $350–$400 for the roomette and $205 for the car. Coach tickets are cheaper, but I recommend the roomette for privacy and comfort.
This is such a cool setup. 17 hours of uninterrupted gaming sounds like heaven!

It was an overnight train, so I only got about 5–6 hours of gaming. Still, totally worth it!
