Back in '99, I made a fake company to get into E3. No one really checked, and I walked right in. Here’s some cool Lucasfilm booth swag from that year.

I once made it through all three days of E3 before someone actually checked my badge… and realized it said ‘Amanda.’
I am not Amanda. I am not a woman. And I could never pass as one.
@Jai
So basically, you’re a dude.
@Jai
When I went in 2003, there were people outside literally asking if anyone had spare badges.
One guy tried this, got caught, and they actually called the cops on him because he refused to leave.

I once got into SDCC by accident. Some guy just waved us in, and like half an hour later, security asked for passes we didn’t even know we needed.
LucasArts was legendary.

RIP Star Wars Galaxies. Gone but never forgotten.

Battle for Naboo was my jam back in the day.
That was the only E3 I ever went to too. My buddy worked at a video rental store, and since they rented games, they got invites. I grabbed so much swag—still have my promo Pokémon card pack from it.

Dude, with how Pokémon is blowing up right now, that pack could legit cover a college tuition.
@Wendell
I’ve seen it listed for like $3-4k on eBay, but I’m holding onto it.

That’s an awesome piece of gaming history to have.
I made fake press credentials for a newspaper that didn’t exist just to get into MacWorld in 2000 or 2001.

Was that the one where they revealed Halo?
I still can’t believe we let E3 die. Out of everything the pandemic took from us, this one stings the most. I used to look forward to Ubisoft embarrassing themselves every year.

I will never forget when they had that weird time travel guy on stage… or when Jason Derulo absolutely butchered his own songs.

Yeah, I remember. I posted about how bad he was at the time and his stans absolutely flamed me.

Just rewatched it. The crowd’s dead silence was painful. Not a single clap, not one laugh. Brutal.
Also, ‘Tom Calancy.’
I went to a couple of E3s in Atlanta. Nobody checked anything when I got my badge either.
